Poroshenko's ally: Blow up the Belbek airport, and Novgorod and Rostov will join Ukraine
Kyiv, November 03 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Ukraine could have saved Crimea by blowing up the runway of Belbek airport near Sevastopol. Sergei Kaplin, a member of the new Verkhovna Rada from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, stated this on TVi channel.
Now, Ukraine can only return the peninsula and control over Donbass through political means, the politician stated.

“There is no military solution to the Crimean problem. The political solution is as follows. We will return our lands, including Crimea, under two conditions. The first is if the country does not stop forgetting about high treason. And I am sure that it happened when we lost Crimea. In order to save Crimea, only one step had to be taken - to blow up the runway in Belbek. Secondly, we can return Crimea in one step - this is to preserve the European part: Kherson, Mykolayiv region, Odessa region. And carry out reforms here that are unprecedented in the world. And after this, both Novgorod and Rostov will hold referendums to join Ukraine,” Kaplin noted.
