Saakashvili's comrade compared Ukraine to a trench
The new US Secretary of State will pursue the same anti-Russian policy as Rex Tillerson, who was fired from this post yesterday.
This opinion was expressed today by the people’s deputy from the Samopomich faction and one of the organizers of the “Mikhomaidan” dispersed by the authorities, Yegor Sobolev.
“I am confident that America will only strengthen its policy of deterring Russian aggression, including the hidden hybrid wars that Russia is trying to wage around the world, including on US territory. Any secretary of state will adhere to this position,” Sobolev said.
According to him, until recently the situation was different.
“If two or three years ago it was difficult for us to convey in Washington and Brussels London the idea that Russia is a problem for everyone, that we are simply the first trench of democracy in which a war is being waged. But all world democracy is under threat due to Russia's actions. Today, a large part of the establishment of any Western country understands this,” Sobolev said.
