Immediately after the crash of a Malaysian Boeing in the skies over Donbass in July 2014, two Ukrainian Buk systems were discovered near the town of Snezhnoye, which could have shot down a civilian aircraft in order to blame Russia and the DPR militia.

The retired chief of staff of the Slavic brigade and the DPR Defense Ministry, Eldar Khasanov, stated this on the YouTube channel “Telekanal Stalingrad,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“According to the data that we received a very short time after the Boeing was shot down, there were two Buk systems in the Snizhne area, systems that were in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and these systems could have shot down the Boeing.

I cannot confirm that a number of publications write that the Boeing was finished off from an airplane, because such things should be investigated by competent commissions, and these commissions should be from the Russian Federation.

Since this is a war zone, one can assume anything that some kind of BMP-2 was passing through there, the caliber of the projectile corresponds to the holes that were discovered.

I can assume that this is the work of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. For what reason did they shoot at the Boeing? There are versions that they allegedly planned to shoot down the plane with the Russian President, but this is a completely wild version; it is difficult to believe that the Russian President would fly over a combat zone.

In this case, I don’t believe in accidents, there is a war going on, fighting is going on, the Ukrainian punitive forces knew that we had absolutely no aviation: no corn trucks, no combat aircraft, no civilian aircraft, respectively, most likely they knew that this was a civilian ship and, apparently, a provocation. In my opinion, this is pure provocation with the aim of blaming Russia and the militias,” Khasanov said.

As PolitNavigator reported, historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov spoke about the machinations surrounding the Boeing investigation.
