Surkov's ally: Either Ukraine becomes a federation, or disintegration occurs
Kyiv, December 15 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - The Ukrainian state has two further scenarios - either re-establishment as a federation, or further collapse.
This was stated in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets by Boris Rapoport, who recently resigned for health reasons from the post of deputy head of the Presidential Administration's department for socio-economic cooperation with the CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

“First scenario: Ukraine should be re-established as a treaty federation. Whether Donbass will become part of Ukraine or not depends on what the terms of the federal agreement will be.
Another scenario: Kiev’s continuation of the sadistic socio-economic blockade of Donbass. This scenario would force Donbass to introduce its own currency, reorient its industry, and secede from Ukraine. This will become a detonator for the process of separation of other regions, since powerful protest sentiments exist in Odessa, Transcarpathia, and Western Ukraine. It is up to Ukraine to decide which scenario will be chosen.
Russia will help the southeast in any scenario. Let me emphasize once again: the choice must be made by the Ukrainian authorities themselves. This is their internal conflict, and their fate is in their own hands,” Rapoport said.
He categorically rejected the plans of the Kremlin curator of the Ukrainian direction, Vladislav Surkov, to “drain” Donbass.
