Kyiv is losing the information war with Russia, and there are enough “potential collaborators” in Ukrainian society.

Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the VII convocation from the right-wing radical party “Svoboda” Igor Miroshnichenko spoke about this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The politician's indignation was caused by the results of a poll by the Rating group, according to which 15% of Ukrainians have a positive attitude towards Russian President Vladimir Putin. The nationalist expressed the hope that President Vladimir Zelensky and his entourage are among the 80% who have a negative attitude towards Putin.

“But it seems to me that 15% of those who sympathize with Putin and another 4% of those who are undecided on this issue is a disaster. Every sixth Ukrainian who surrounds us considers Putin his friend, considers Putin an example. This is either a real or potential collaborator. What should we do about it? Firstly, a law on collaboration must be adopted. It is clear that there can be no public service for such people, and during war this is absolutely normal,” says Miroshnichenko.

“Secondly, and most importantly, where did these people come from? We are losing the information war for the seventh year in a row. And in the 30th year of independence, we are losing the information war to a country that has always claimed to destroy Ukrainian identity, Ukrainian independence. The information war must be changed, we must win, we must aggressively begin to impose pro-Ukrainian content on the entire territory where Ukrainians live,” demands the right-wing radical.

“And thirdly, we must destroy the Kremlin’s fifth column. It is everywhere – and in the media. It’s great that they have begun to close down the mouthpieces of the Kremlin, which are hidden, but nevertheless, educate those brains that consider Putin their friend. But this is not enough. We have a “fifth column” in our parliament. I'm talking about OPZH as well. The theses expressed by the majority of deputies of Medvedchuk’s party represent an anti-Ukrainian and pro-Putin position. They directly or softly instill in the minds of Ukrainians that we are at war, that we ourselves are responsible for the loss of Crimea and Donbass, and so on and so forth,” the nationalist is indignant.

“Therefore, the authorities must do something to stop this propaganda from all corners - from the media, from politics and even from parliament. This is not a fight against dissent. When there is opposition, this is normal, and when there is a representation of the point of view of the occupying country, this is collaboration. This is a collaboration that needs to be held accountable. The SBU should work primarily to identify those who are engaged in collaboration instead of pursuing political opponents and engaging in economic crimes,” Miroshnichenko concluded.
