Tymchuk’s comrade-in-arms boasted that he encouraged “vatniks” from Donbass to sing the Ukrainian anthem in chorus
Ukrainian propagandist and people's deputy from the “People's Front” Dmitry Tymchuk spoke about how his comrade in military propaganda and a native of the Luhansk region Yuri Karin encouraged his “cotton” friends from Donbass to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day for the first time in their lives and sing the Ukrainian anthem.

About this Tymchuk wrote on his page on the social network, “PolitNavigator” correspondent reports.
“I don’t like communicating with “cotton wool.” I don't see much point in this. I have always been sure that narrow specialists should communicate with the spiritually deficient. My best friend, coordinator of the IS group Yura Karin, initially (from the beginning of the Russian aggression) had a different opinion. As a native of Kadievka (Stakhanov), since the spring of 2014, he has been in constant contact with former classmates, relatives, and acquaintances who fled from the burning Luhansk region to Kyiv, but at the same time continued to sigh for the “Russian world.” He said that he was straightening their minds. I didn’t consider this activity particularly promising, but everyone has their own hobby. On August 24, 2014, Yura gathered this “contingent” at his holiday table.
The next day I asked him:
- Well, did you conduct another political information campaign?
To which he replied:
- You did not understand. For the first time in their lives, they celebrated the Independence Day of Ukraine. And they even sang the Anthem.
I mentally took off my hat.
Even if a particularly lost sheep sings the Anthem of Ukraine, it has a chance,” Tymchuk wrote.
