Yushchenko's ally suggested leaving Donbass alone
Ukraine needs to leave Donbass alone so that people there can honor their heroes and erect monuments to them.
This was stated on the NewsOne TV channel by a former ally of Viktor Yushchenko, a veteran of two Maidans and ex-Minister of Transport of Ukraine Yevgeny Chervonenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, in Crimea and Donbass events unfolded according to the pro-Russian scenario due to the fact that nationalists intimidated the local population and pushed them towards independence.
“If people in Crimea weren’t afraid of this, like “Glory to Ukraine”, “Moskalyak on Gilyak”, maybe this wouldn’t have happened. If Kirilenko had not immediately adopted the law on the Russian language during the Maidan, perhaps this would not have happened. You see, Putin is not forcing two 45-strong DPR corps to fight. It’s impossible to force them, 45 thousand, it’s all a lie. There is no need to create white noise, so as not to interfere with theft, by inciting things inside... More than 10 thousand died on our side and the same number, I am sure, on our side, you hear, you can quarter me, DPR and LPR. You shout that it will be Ukraine, and it really is Ukraine. So no amount of tanks will make them become Ukrainians. Let them go, let them have a monument to Kozhedub, and let your monument, Bandera, stand in Lvov. The biggest meanness is to divide the people,” Chervonenko said.
