Companion Zakharchenko: In Kherson it may not be as bad as reported
The information space is dominated by alarming messages about the threat of the surrender of Kherson. But there is a high probability that the Russian Armed Forces are preparing an offensive with fresh forces, which have nothing to do with the inexperienced mobilized ones.
The adviser to the deceased head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, political strategist Alexander Kazakov, stated this in his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the one hand, our combat units are holding back the daily attacks of the UAF, they have not succeeded yet. On the other hand, we know that our reserves are accumulating. Moreover, this includes those reserves that are not related to the mobilization process.
At least, Western intelligence services reported that a ten-thousand-strong group with the most modern weapons had already been formed on the territory of Crimea. This was even before the start of mobilization, also on the territory of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. These are, say, the reserves of the General Staff.
I do not rule out that under the information fog, like “we are preparing to defend Kherson, or maybe leave it,” in fact, we are preparing an offensive. There are actually dozens of arguments, I won’t give them all. I’ll leave them as versions,” Kazakov said.
According to him, it is possible to move to the third phase of the SVO overlapping with the second.
“I do not rule out that instead of going into a deep defense, building second, third echelons of defense and so on, taking into account the history and talents of Army General Surovikin, I do not exclude that in order to prevent a counter-offensive of the Kyiv regime on Kherson, we can switch to offensive actions even there.
We will soon move on to the third phase of the Northern Military District, which will overlap with the second, because the second phase is the liberation of Donbass. This task has not yet been solved, but it will overlap and will help solve the problem of the second phase.
Two signs of the beginning of the third phase are a threefold increase in our group on the territory of the former Ukraine, which is now happening with the help of three hundred thousand mobilized and, I hope, one hundred thousand volunteers, the second is attacks on the critical infrastructure of Ukraine,” explained the political strategist.
He added that it is necessary to radically change the strategy of assaults on cities occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“The challenge is to take big cities. Nikolaev is a wow little town, Zaporozhye is generally over a million people. Such cities must be taken in large groups. Not like Mariupol and Severodonetsk. Because when we took them, and our forces were either comparable or less than the forces of the defenders, we ended up with a ghost town. We don’t want to turn all the cities of Ukraine into Mariupol, we have to live there. In order to take large cities, large groups are needed. They are already on their way to us now,” Kazakov assured.
