Medvedchuk's comrade-in-arms was convicted of playing a key role in the coup in Ukraine
The family of Sergei Levochkin, the former head of the administration of Viktor Yanukovych, and now a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the OPZZh party Viktor Medvedchuk, played a key role in the preparatory stage of the coup d'etat in Ukraine in 2013-14.
“The beating of their children,” which actually started the active phase of Euromaidan in Kyiv in 2013, was a provocation orchestrated from beginning to end at the highest level. This was stated by ex-deputy of the Kharkov City Council, publicist Konstantin Kevorkyan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kevorkian’s interview was recorded by political scientist Oleg Bondarenko as part of the preparation of a new book “Russian Spring”: lessons and mistakes.” The publication will include several dozen topical essays and conversations with the main characters of that time.
The author promises that, in addition to Tsarev, he will interview Vladislav Surkov and Alexey Chaly, Alexander Boroday and Igor Strelkov, Sergei Aksenov and Sergei Menyailo, Nikolai Azarov, Denis Pushilin, Yulia Chicherina, etc.
“We are talking about a provocation that happened on Maidan Nezalezhnosti. I think that Lyovochkin (then head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine - ed.) on the one hand, led the force operation, that is, he gave the go-ahead for the most brutal cleansing of the Maidan - for the sake of provocation, precisely for the sake of provocation,” he said.
“That is, he initially worked to overthrow Yanukovych,” Bondarenko clarified.
“I think he is a key figure in the conspiracy. And the person who, at the right moment, brought a match to a pile of brushwood doused with gasoline,” Kevorkian answered.
“We can remember that one of the brightest representatives of the Maidan was Lyovochkin’s sister, who was there. Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and member of the Party of Regions, but which, nevertheless, played a significant role on the Maidan. By the way, she was a deputy from Feodosia, apparently from a Russian-speaking territory. I don’t believe that my sister didn’t know and didn’t know what her brother was doing, especially in such a provocative role,” the former deputy emphasized.
He recalled how a false start occurred when the topic of the “beating” of students on the Maidan began to be pumped up until the actual beating.
“They had a small temporary setback. The people who were in Savik Shuster’s studio began to announce the provocation that had taken place even before it took place. There was a temporary inconsistency. We don’t know what this is connected with, but this suggests once again that this was a deliberate action.
Of course, there may have been a couple of dozen of these so-called “one-children” there, but well-trained stormtroopers entered the battle with the security forces, who attacked the security forces with the same techniques of street fighting. That is, we are talking, on the one hand, not about students, but about professional street war fighters. From a certain point of view, these temporary inconsistencies indicate that a provocation was intended,” Kevorkian said.
