Yatsenyuk's comrade-in-arms was elected vice-president of PACE
Ukrainian people's deputy from the Popular Front faction Georgy Logvinsky was elected one of the vice-presidents of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

“This is a huge honor, pride and responsibility for me. The position of vice-president and member of the PACE Bureau is the highest position held in the international parliamentary arena in the entire history of Ukraine. But I want to note that today this is a victory for the country and to thank my colleagues from the Ukrainian delegation, especially Vladimir Ariev, with whom now in the Bureau we will be able to double the victories of Ukraine, the President and members of PACE for the honor and trust they have shown,” - Logvinsky commented on his election on Facebook.
Vice-presidents in PACE are elected on a quota basis. Ukraine, as a large, but not the largest delegation, is included in the second group along with Poland and Spain. Every year, two countries from this group nominate their vice presidents.
In 2016, there was no Ukrainian vice-president; in 2015, Vladimir Ariev was the vice-president from Ukraine; in 2014, Ivan Popescu.
Let us recall that last year French businessmen accused People’s Deputy Logvinsky of a raider seizure of a wine factory they owned in Ukraine.
