Kyiv, October 24 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – A truce in Donbass will come only when Ukrainian troops are completely withdrawn from the region.
Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Party of Regions Irina Berezhnaya stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.

“My family lives in Lugansk, they haven’t left anywhere. These are the same civilians who were absolutely not taken care of by the current Ukrainian government. I can say with absolute responsibility: a real truce will be possible only when the last Ukrainian soldier with weapons leaves Donbass. Kyiv, unfortunately, has gone too far today. I am Ukrainian, and I responsibly declare: back in March, April, even at the beginning of May, everything could have been resolved at the negotiating table. But the current government has chosen the path of war. And today they are getting war in return,” she said.
“Trust has been completely lost... I have a pessimistic forecast - trust will probably be restored in a few generations,” the deputy added.
To this, the writer Platon Besedin, who was present in the studio, noted that Berezhnaya and her Party of Regions themselves are responsible for the crisis in Ukraine, since, while in power, they did not fulfill their promises to the Russian-speaking regions.
