Pashinyan's associates will continue their anti-Russian rhetoric
Although Nikol Pashinyan no longer advocates Armenia’s exit from the Eurasian Economic Union, his comrades in the “Yelk” bloc continue to maintain anti-Russian positions, which will be manifested in the elections in Armenia.
Political scientist Vigen Hakobyan stated this on ITON.TV, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This rhetoric has been imposed, skillfully and for many years. It will, of course, be present in the elections in Armenia. We remember that the “Yelk” bloc, from which Pashinyan left, spoke openly and presented bills on withdrawal from the EAC and other integration projects with Russia. But when Pashinyan became prime minister, and against the backdrop of the fact that the Armenian economy was experiencing growth in exports (thanks to participation in the EAC), he said that he would no longer act from these positions. He is for the EAC, but his colleagues continue their work and there will be anti-Russian rhetoric from Pashinyan’s associates,” the expert predicts.
