Yarosh's associates lament: Ukraine is losing the information war to Russia
Ukraine is losing the information war to Russia by releasing a less talented and interesting product.
Ex-Right Sector militant, former UNA-UNSO speaker Elena Belozerskaya, now an artilleryman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the nationalist, the majority of the Ukrainian population, despite the bans, watches Russian TV channels or local “pro-Russian” resources.
“Russia has a lot of money, but the majority of people still, those who vote, are predominantly older people who vote, everyone watches TV. And Russia throws a lot of money into the development of anti-Ukrainian, veiled anti-Ukrainian - seemingly neutral, but those who educate people, TV channels, personalities, presenters, journalists, politicians and so on in a course favorable to Russia.
All this swells, swells, swells. Now they have become insolent, openly anti-Ukrainian statements can be heard on TV, such that the SBU should be working against such people. As far as I understand, it doesn't work.
One can also say that not everyone will like the fact that Russia produces higher quality content than Ukraine. We cannot compete with them in this regard; we have much less interesting, talented, and bright things than they do. Well, people watch Russian, most people, right? And the Russians, under the guise of some kind of apolitical humor, are pushing their messages, their Russian patriotism, and so on. Competition. And so far we are losing this information competition, the fight for people’s minds,” Belozerskaya said.
