One of the ex-leaders of the Ukrainian right-wing radical organization UNA-UNSO spoke about this in an interview with the Internet resource Censor.net. on the basis of which the political party “Right Sector, Igor Mazur (“Topolya”) was created, recently defected from Yarosh to Poroshenko.
He explained why he did not want to join the volunteer corps created by the Right Sector, but became a company commander in one of the battalions with official status.
“When Sashka Muzychko (Bely) was already killed, we, regardless of this, had certain disagreements with Yarosh and others,” recalls the nationalist. – We did not understand some of their obligations to Kolomoisky, Nalyvaichenko, and something else... In addition, the status of volunteers gave little guarantee that the guys would receive government assistance in case of injury or something else. And in principle, we believed that we should try to unite, not divide. And the state of the army obliged us to make it more combat-ready and patriotic.”
At the same time, the interlocutor of Censor.net believes that Muzychko, if he had remained alive, would now command the battalion.
“He told me about this in early spring, after the victory of the Maidan, in early March, when the Crimean topic had already arisen,” Mazur claims. “Somewhere in Volyn he started collecting money and people for this... For this, I think, he was “thrown down,” and the “offended” prosecutor was just an excuse.”
During the interview, another interesting point emerged: the machine gun, with which Muzychko openly walked around after the Maidan, was officially registered, despite the repeated convictions of its owner.
“His machine gun was a converted machine gun, from which you cannot fire bursts,” Mazur explained. – This machine has been registered. He also had a pistol, which was also registered. He died on March 25. And this machine was registered with him several weeks earlier. Every local policeman knew about it.”
