Life-giving Soros, or How Vakarchuk became an opponent of referendums
The leader of the new political party "Voice", Ukrainian singer Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, sharply changed his attitude towards the possibility of holding referendums in the country.
Ex-Minister of Justice of Ukraine Elena Lukash shared this observation in her Telegram channel, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“May 2014. Vakarchuk calls for a referendum on federalization and language. May 2019. Vakarchuk considers referendums on national security issues irresponsible. Have you changed your medications? Changed sponsor? Have you changed your slippers? Realized it? Forgot? Lost? Are you sick? Your versions?” Lukash suggested.
In a 2014 video, Vakarchuk on ICTV, in Russian, calls not to be afraid to put such issues to referendums, since “politicians will never solve this, it is not profitable for them.”
Now the singer has changed his rhetoric in the most radical way.
“Bringing the issue of national security to a referendum at a time when the enemy is waging not only a hot war against us, but also an information war is dangerous and irresponsible,” Vakarchuk commented on the initiative of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on his Facebook page.
At the same time, the information released by Kyiv journalist Evgeniy Kuksin explains a lot.
“Vakarchuk under Soros. Yes? The Ministry of Justice registered Vakarchuk's party. The official name is “Golos”, the legal address is the city of Kyiv, st. Zhilyanskaya, 75. At this address is the Eurasia business center, the owner of the business center is Dragon Capital. Mr. Soros has been an investor in Dragon Capital since 2015,” the journalist wrote on his Telegram channel.
