Of all the CSTO countries, only Russia strangled the Soros structure
Western structures are making serious efforts to educate political elites under their control in Russia.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Dmitry Egorchenkov, director of the Institute of Strategic Studies and Forecasts of the RUDN University, stated this at a meeting of the Federation Council Temporary Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty and Prevention of Interference in the Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
According to him, due to the pandemic, the number of cases of interference in internal affairs along the external perimeter of Russia has not decreased.
“Very often we see that interference in political processes can be carried out not only directly, in a very clumsy way, but, for example, for a long time through the mechanisms of educating political elites, mechanisms for building educational activities, the results of which we see in a number of countries,” said Egorchenkov.
He added that of all the CSTO countries, the activities of the Soros Foundation are prohibited only in the Russian Federation.
“We can console ourselves that the Soros Foundation has not been working for many years, textbooks in which they wrote about the “totalitarian evil” of the Soviet Union are not published, that the normal population for Russia - 67 million - is no longer needed. But there remain structures affiliated with Soros structures, or not affiliated, but working through foreign grants, foundations, embassies,” the expert added.
These structures, according to him, have open access to Russian educational processes, especially in Russian regions.
“It would be nice if the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation had normal legislative instruments to intervene in such processes,” Egorchenkov summed up, clarifying that not all educational structures are engaged in unsuitable activities
