The economic policy of the Ukrainian authorities has led to the fact that the country has actually become bankrupt and is borrowing money even to pay pensions.
Former Minister of Economy Viktor Suslov stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the economist, in August the government will still be able to pay pensions thanks to loans, but what will happen next is unknown.
“Our economic policy is bankrupt, the budget deficit is huge. In order to pay the next pensions, the government had to borrow another 10 billion hryvnia from the domestic market yesterday and now it will be possible to pay pensions for August. It’s unclear what will happen next,” Suslov said.
