The Moscow newspaper writes about this "News", referring to the report of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
Thus, in Crimea in 2014, the number of alcoholics registered at a dispensary decreased by 3%, to 22 people. The number of substance abusers registered at the dispensary also decreased - by almost 127%, to 14 people.
“In Crimea there are very good centers that are more aimed at the social rehabilitation of people suffering from various addictions. And medical rehabilitation in Crimea is very young, since this area began to develop, by and large, in September. In addition, the reduction in the number of alcohol dependent people occurred due to optimization. We have removed those who have been absent from our territory for a long time. Now these accounting figures correspond to reality,” Marina Shorenko, chief freelance narcologist of the Crimean Ministry of Health, commented on the situation.
According to the official representative of the National Anti-Drug Union in the region, Arsen Ismailov, about 100 people who were previously on methadone replacement therapy, which was allowed while Crimea was part of Ukraine, have returned to continue drug use on its territory. In total, about 800 people participated in the republic’s methadone program.
