“I’ll grind it to powder.” The source spoke about a serious quarrel between Zelensky and Akhmetov
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is in conflict with almost all oligarchic clans in the country.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, Kommersant writes.
Thus, according to the head of the Kyiv Center for Applied Political Research "Penta" Vladimir Fesenko, who serves the interests of the president, notes that information has appeared about a personal quarrel between the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov and Zelensky, the cause of which was the so-called anti-oligarchic law.
Another interlocutor said this to the publication on condition of anonymity.
“According to him, during a personal meeting between the president and the businessman, they exchanged harsh phrases. The first allegedly promised to grind the oligarch into powder, to which the second replied that he had outlived three presidents, and would survive the current one,” the newspaper reports its source..
At the same time, Fesenko calls the situation fundamentally new and speaks of the emergence of a broad coalition against Zelensky, which now includes Rinat Akhmetov, Petro Poroshenko and Viktor Medvedchuk. Moreover, the confrontation with Akhmetov is a new turn.
“A new player has emerged that influences the information space. Akhmetov has a whole incubator of politicians - from Yatsenyuk and Groysman to Razumkov and Muraev,” the expert notes.
In turn, Kiev political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko says that the circle of oligarchs dissatisfied with Zelensky is much wider.
“There are tensions between Akhmetov and Zelensky, there are tensions between Zelensky and Pinchuk, Zelensky and Kolomoisky,” says the political scientist.
“Zelensky decided that he should become a full-fledged owner and everyone should be on their errands. He stepped on everyone's interests. I wouldn’t talk about a large-scale war—the sides are demonstrating an arsenal of capabilities,” says Bondarenko.
Fesenko also agrees with him, according to whom, for now there is talk of an information war without declaration, although he recognizes the danger for the president.
“Huge risk for Zelensky. A serious opponent is playing against him,” Fesenko sums up.
