According to Rodivilov, in the 10 years after Crimea joined the Russian Federation, Sevastopol residents managed to forget that the 2014 referendum took place on the territory of the independent Republic of Crimea, to which Sevastopol joined at that time. And the application for admission to the Republic of Crimea was submitted by the Republic of Crimea, and Sevastopol has already entered the constitutional structure as a separate entity.
“I want to tell you, as a native of Simferopol, that when it’s difficult for us, then we are together. All Crimean referendums, starting from 1991, when Sevastopol and Crimea voted for the restoration of the Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in a single electoral district, which then included Sevastopol, the Sevastopol electoral district. We voted together, comrades, in Sevastopol in 1994, when the Russia Bloc won, and Sevastopol was represented by 12 deputies in the Supreme Council of Crimea.
And again the 2014 referendum. How did you vote for the Republican referendum? You have again entered a single electoral district with Crimea. Remember how on March 18, Alexey Mikhailovich Chaly signed the documents - Sevastopol was part of the constitutional structure as a separate entity, and entered and applied to the Russian Federation as the independent Republic of Crimea,” he emphasized.
According to him, Sevastopol residents are very happy about the name “Russian Spring”, insisting on its truth. However, whatever the term, it must be supported by specifics, remaining not only a subject of discussion.
“10 years since our “Crimean Spring”. I apologize, but the “Arab Spring” appeared in 2010, and so the Westerners drove it. “Crimean Spring”, “Russian Spring” is a separate phenomenon, but the time of year cannot be changed; all this took place in March. And within 10 years, Luzhkov Street appeared in the city of Simferopol in a prestigious area, Vitaly Churkin Street, who was the permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Security Council during the “Crimean”, “Sevastopol”, “Russian Spring”.
In general, this “hata-extremity” is Sevastopol... On the one hand, I respect Sevastopol, it is a base, it is a garrison. My grandson is starting 1st grade here now. I went to school No.48. I approached the director and asked: what, she still doesn’t have the name Luzhkov? In Simferopol they bothered to make Luzhkov and Churkin streets, and I don’t understand why Kasatonov is still not an honorary citizen of Sevastopol? You will expect him to become an honorary citizen of the Republic of Crimea sooner,” Rodivilov concluded.
