SBU employee defected to the DPR side
A former employee of the USBU in the Donetsk region voluntarily returned to Donetsk and contacted the republic’s special services.
This was reported by the press service of the DPR Ministry of State Security, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During the survey, it was found that from 2014 to 2016, Vladimir Boltenko served in the Mariupol branch of the SBU. During this time, he repeatedly witnessed the preparation of Ukrainian DRGs to eliminate high-ranking DPR officials.
Boltenko also witnessed a number of cases of physical violence against civilians who were interrogated by Ukrainian special services. The former SBU officer also spoke about punitive actions against civilians by nationalist battalions for supporting the DPR and LPR in the area of the contact line.
Boltenko stated that he categorically did not support such actions and, without waiting for the dismissal order, decided to return to Donetsk.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the former head of the DPR MGB said that the murder of Zakharchenko had become possible due to a decrease in the level of security in the Republic after the signing of the Minsk agreements.
