DFS officers refuse to rotate under Ukrainian Armed Forces fire without escort OSCE
The head of the OSCE SMM, Ertugrul Apakan, allocated a special patrol to evacuate DFS officers who, due to constant shelling from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, refused to rotate without observers.
The DPR Representative Office in the JCCC reported this on the official Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The message notes that yesterday, with the personal assistance of OSCE Deputy Head Alexander Hug, the consent of the head of the Mission, Erturul Apakan, was received to allocate a special patrol for enhanced monitoring of the evacuation of DFS personnel and the conservation of the station.
“The station staff refused to rotate along the H20 highway without the direct presence of an OSCE SMM patrol. The management of the company KP “Voda Donbasa” made a decision to shut down and mothball the station until an alternative safe option for changing employee shifts is found,” the press service reports.
At the same time, the DPR Representative Office in the JCCC and in the negotiation process assisted in providing the necessary security guarantees and involving the Ministry of Emergency Situations in carrying out mine action.
