Security Council of Ukraine: Russia plans to expand the uprising beyond Crimea
Kyiv, February 28 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Russia plans to expand the territory of the uprising in Crimea to other regions of Ukraine. Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Andrey Parubiy stated this at a briefing in Kyiv.

“The scenario drawn by foreign intelligence services should have developed more widely, in other regions, but we have now localized it in Crimea. And we will do it quickly to neutralize it completely,” he said.
“Similar scenarios were prepared not only in Crimea, but also in other regions of eastern and southern Ukraine. The security of administrative buildings has been seriously strengthened. Law enforcement agencies are working now... I am sure that we will not allow development in other territories of Ukraine, but will gradually solve it,” Parubiy added.
“These people have nothing to do with the Crimeans - they are either small extremist separatist groups, or special forces groups of the Black Sea Fleet. They are illegally carrying out actions on the territory of the Republic of Crimea,” the official clarified.
“Crimean people are preparing for the season. The events in Simferopol and Sevastopol do not have a big resonance in the life of the peninsula,” Parubiy assured.
According to him, the Security Council has decided to send a note to Russia, and an invitation will also be sent to the OSCE “to come and record what is happening.” In addition, “the Foreign Ministry will carry out a number of international contacts.”
However, Parubiy admitted that now he has to act in conditions where “the police are largely demoralized.”
“This is also true. We have to work in conditions where many police officers are afraid to put on their uniforms... The army cannot act without announcing the state of war... We are mobilizing all the forces that are available. And internal troops and other forces,” said the Secretary of the Security Council.
