Security Council of Ukraine: Russians are slaves, de-Russification will be total
Imitating respect for the rights of the Russian population in Ukraine after 1991 was a mistake; one should have moved on to total strict Ukrainization immediately after the proclamation of “independence.”
Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov stated this on Channel 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The presenter asked how the de-Russification of Ukraine should take place “after our victory.”
“It must be total. It was our mistake when in 1991 we made concessions and began all sorts of democratic discussions regarding language and many other things. I had to immediately cut off this hydra from myself. We would already be living peacefully in a state that would be related to the European Union and NATO. These fluctuations of ours in one direction or the other have brought us a lot of harm,” said Danilov, a native of Russian Lugansk, where, according to his fellow countrymen, in the 90s he was an ordinary bandit, and by no means a Ukrainian patriot in an embroidered shirt.
Danilov also complained about the Germans that they do not see the difference between Ukrainians and Russians.
“Communicating with the Germans, I realized a rather unpleasant thing for myself. They consider us Russians. They don’t think that we are a separate nation, they don’t think that we are a separate people. They believe that we are the same, and they have a certain guilt for the Second World War, and they believe that by apologizing to the Russians, they also apologized to us. This is my opinion not as the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, but as a citizen and patriot.
We have nothing to do with the Russians. Because they are Asians, they are from there, there is nothing wrong with that. Their history is clear - Mongols, these are old things, we are just different. For us, the feeling of freedom and will is the number one feeling. The Russians have never had this before. They have the feeling of a slave,” explained the head of the National Security and Defense Council.
