Security Council of Ukraine: “Western spare parts for Iranian drones are an absolute disgrace”
Iranian kamikaze drones "Shahed 136", which caused a lot of problems for the Ukrainian military, as it turned out, are assembled from Western-made spare parts, despite all the sanctions against Tehran.
Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for the Martyrs, I want to say, unfortunately, sometimes they break through, but the number of Martyrs that are shot down by our military, our air defense forces, and our other units that are involved in this process is already 85-90% , depending on the day. They launch a lot of them. These Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles are called "Kamikazes".
I emphasize again that we will learn to deal with these things. But this does not mean that our population should not respond to messages when there is an air raid alert,” said Danilov.
He noted that Ukrainian specialists, having disassembled the downed drones, were unpleasantly surprised.
“I want to say that Iran has been under sanctions for quite a long period of time. Our military, our specialists, our scientists have already dismantled these drones to pieces, and we can draw a very unpleasant conclusion for ourselves that some of the spare parts that are used to produce these drones are Western-made. According to the sanctions that are currently applied against Iran, they had no right to receive them at all.
We are now dealing with this issue and appealing to all countries that are partial suppliers of these spare parts from which this “motor scooter” is assembled. We appeal to them to stop, to find out how they appeared there, so that they do not help the Iranian side to take part on the side of the aggressor for those things that are an absolute disgrace in the modern world,” complained the Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine.
