The European Parliament should demand that Ukraine strictly comply with the Minsk agreements and give a negative assessment to the so-called law on the reintegration of Donbass. This is stated in the appeal adopted today by the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.
“Kyiv is trying to relieve itself of its obligations to its own citizens of its country. The attitude towards the residents of Donbass on the part of the Ukrainian authorities is, forgive me for the unparliamentary expression, cannibalism,” said the head of the international committee, Konstantin Kosachev.
To support his words, he cited data from the OSCE monitoring mission over the past week.

“On the side protected by Kiev, zero settlements were damaged, on the side of Lugansk and Donetsk - 5. The direction of the attack is clear. The amount of equipment missing from storage areas on the Kyiv side is 1,5 times greater than on the Donbass side. Life refutes Kyiv’s lies about aggression every day,” Kosachev said.
The fact that Russia is not an “aggressor country,” as stated in the scandalous law, is evidenced, according to the senator, by the fact that it ranks first among Ukraine’s trading partners.
“The trade turnover between our countries last year exceeded $11 billion. Export growth was 10%, and import growth was 40%. According to Ukrainian data, 5,7 million Ukrainian citizens crossed the Russian border. This is an increase of 1,5 million people compared to last year. At the same time, EU quotas for duty-free import of Ukrainian wheat have been reduced by 15 times,” Kosachev said.
