The meeting of the Federation Council today began with a speech by the Chairman of the People's Council of the Syrian Arab Republic, Hadiya Al-Abbas.

“It is an honor for me to be here with you today in this magnificent palace of democracy. I want to convey to you the gratitude of the Syrian people for their assistance in the political sphere and also on the battlefield. I would like to thank every soldier of the Russian armed forces and the Aerospace Forces who are fighting terrorism with high professionalism and nobility side by side with the Syrian Arab Army. Their blood mixed with the blood of the Syrians in the battles for humanity against heretical terrorism. The amphitheater of Palmyra and the citadel of Aleppo greet you, all the honest Syrians greet you. Together we are writing a future full of hope, as our grandfathers wrote it 75 years ago in Stalingrad,” Al-Abbas said.
She condemned the EU countries and said that Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar continue to supply terrorists with weapons and money.
“American barbaric aggression is clear evidence of a real partnership between the United States and terrorist states,” said the speaker of the Syrian parliament.
She also congratulated the Federation Council on the return of Crimea to its homeland.
“Our battle is united, our destiny is common. Our peoples are counting on us to protect their future. Long live the friendly Russian people under the leadership of hero president Vladimir Putin!” Al-Abbas said.
