Advisor to the head of the DPR: The war has changed
The nature of military operations in the Northern Military District zone requires the constant development of tactical approaches and technical means. But all the necessary powers are in place.
Advisor to the acting head of the DPR, Yan Gagin, said this on air on Rossiya 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The war has really changed, both the approach to combat operations and the tactics of using various means,” he noted. – The presence of unmanned aircraft, unmanned systems both at sea and on the ground makes its own adjustments and changes the tactics of the units. This is actually true, and in fact, the fighters themselves are constantly inventing something.
I think you have recently seen the invention of new unmanned systems, both flying and ground, and some kind of response is immediately formed, some means of counteraction are immediately formed at the local and state level. Recently, a new program has emerged to introduce unmanned aerial vehicles into the national economy, including the army. “It’s just that nothing stands still, and the most important thing here is, indeed, to learn in time and draw conclusions from the current situation.”
From the point of view of procedural decisions, no special reform is needed here, the expert believes. Commanders have enough authority to make operational decisions.
“Local commanders, battalion and brigade commanders have quite a lot of independence and a fairly large reserve of this independence for making decisions. As a matter of fact, that’s why they are commanders, to make decisions, both everyday and military, including.
I think that this is precisely coordination and, again, coordination between the units themselves, connections - they all exist. And the statements that there is no independence are a little untrue.”
A representative of the DPR authorities emphasized that conditions on the front line cannot be like in a pioneer camp, especially since fighters are not constantly in the trenches. “For the Ribbon” they go on shifts, giving them the opportunity to take a breath and get themselves in order.
“They practically don’t live in the trenches, the units rotate on shifts, someone is on the front line, after a few days they are replaced, and they, accordingly, find themselves warm, can put themselves in order, and rest. That is, rotation occurs constantly, without rotation the front simply cannot live,” Gagin emphasized.
According to him, the weather creates difficulties for each side.
“And in fact, this is not a pioneer camp - this is really a war, and it cannot be any other way. Therefore, to be honest, maybe somewhere it is worth being more critical of all the information that goes on the Internet.
Very often this information is initiated by the enemy, very often some fakes are filmed, and I believe that our viewer, our citizens should be more critical of any information and, above all, perceive information from official sources, from our official media,” added adviser Pushilin.
