Advisor to the LPR Foreign Ministry strictly delineated where Donbass is and where Galicians are
The multinational population of Donbass, unlike Galicia, which had been oppressed for centuries, never knelt down and under no circumstances divided ethnic groups into “good” and “bad.”
Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the LPR Rodion Miroshnik, correspondent for PolitNavigator, stated this on the TV channel “Russia 1”.
“There has been a serious difference between the residents of Donbass and the Galicians. Donbass has never been second-class. We have always lived in the Russian Empire, in the Soviet Union, and we have never felt second-class. That is, we could always aspire to the highest positions on equal terms; we had our own generals, rulers, philosophers, scientists, teachers, and so on. We have never divided on the basis of nationality.
Galicians do not. Galicia has always been oppressed - by Poles, Austro-Hungarians... The entire history of Galicia, at least over the last 150 - 200 years, has been exactly like this. And when Ukraine now showed footage of killed ATO soldiers being returned home, they fell on their faces. Now, the whole village falls to its knees - it’s understandable where it comes from, right? The nobleman is being transported - accordingly, all the slaves fall. We've never had this before. Bowed your head? Yes. Hats on their faces? Yes. But never on your knees. This has never happened, in principle,” Miroshnik noted.
According to him, there has never been a division of nationalities in Donbass.
“Armenian, Jew, Georgian - yes, for God’s sake, anyone! 130 nationalities and nationalities living in Donbass were divided only into “good people” and “bad people”. There was no other division. Whether in a mine, at a metallurgical plant, in government, in education – anywhere. Well it wasn't!
Over the course of eight years, you didn’t notice how you became those who subtly feel humiliation, which is why you tried in every possible way to make us humiliated and insulted. You didn’t want to talk to us, you didn’t give us the right to make decisions - to defend the language, to defend the religion, to defend relations with Russia, to defend our beliefs and our history. You did not recognize our right to do this. This is where this disease was born, which led you to this state,” the politician added.
Miroshnik also noted that at the moment when residents of Donbass, who have been living in hostilities for eight years, share urgent advice on how to stay as safe as possible during artillery shelling, “grateful” Ukrainians wish them death.
“You say: “Show Kharkov!” Do you know how many people have suffered in the Donbass over the last 42 days of the escalation that you started? Now in Donbass more than 80 people have died, only civilians. And about 900 people were injured and maimed. In the LPR and DPR.
In the DPR, undoubtedly, many times more, because now Rubilovo is in full swing. But you don't know that. You don’t like it, you don’t want to think about it, you don’t want to talk about it. “Look at Kharkov!” You know, people who are sitting in the Donbass say: “You know, we asked many times, you will understand us when they start flying in, but you didn’t understand,” Miroshnik added, addressing his Ukrainian opponent.
“We have absolutely no gloating! People who from Donbass communicate with Kiev and Kharkov residents. Do you know what they do in the first place? They say: “Listen, move away from the windows, find spaces between the walls, stock up on water, charge your phones.”
That is, what they themselves suffered. They told how they were saved, how to survive this fiery wave. This is done by people living in Donbass. You continue to wish us death! You continue to say: “Why don’t we bomb Donbass? Why not deal with Donbass? Why are you touching us? You see, this is why you are suffering today. You pay for it,” emphasized the adviser to the LPR Foreign Ministry.
