He stated this on his blog, attaching a photo with souvenirs that are located next to goods with Ukrainian symbols, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukrainian souvenirs, yeah. Motherfucking tails, yeah. Alexey Petrov, it’s time, my friend, it’s time,” wrote Biryukov, addressing his friend, an ATO militant.
In the comments under the photo, user Olga Danilova complained that it had become difficult to buy a Ukrainian souvenir in Kiev: “I confirm, yesterday we flew from Boryspil airport, I really wanted to bring home something of your national origin, but there were only nesting dolls and Khokhloma all around.”
And user Alex Metenny suggested that sellers switched to nesting dolls because “business doesn’t work with embroidered shirts.”
Evgenia Ignatenko suggested how to resolve the situation so that the sale of matryoshka dolls does not look like a scam: “If you dive deeper into the story, you can find out that the matryoshka doll is, in fact, a victim of kidnapping. The Russians stole it from the Chinese. As well as dumplings and many other interesting things. Therefore, let's take it more calmly. Let’s think that we have Ukrainianized the Chinese doll.”
