Advisor to Tikhanovskaya: Lukashenko is imprisoned for 15 days for Ukrainian songs
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, supposedly understands perfectly well that in order to not give the Zmagars a chance to raise the Maidan, it is necessary to keep society in constant terror, and therefore repression by the special services does not stop even for a day.
Franak Vyachorka, an adviser to the self-proclaimed “leader of the Belarusian nation” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, stated this in an interview with Ukrainian Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Stop the repression for 1-2 days, and people will come out again. Lukashenko understands this, which is why he is constantly escalating. Every day 12-15, 25 people are detained. In November alone there were 350 arrests, in October alone 330. In total, since 2020, 60 thousand, 5 thousand people in prison for criminal political cases. And now Lukashenko is carrying out more repressions than in 2020.
These repressions are very similar to Stalin's. They came to the Academy of Sciences, detained 46 people, checked everyone on the list, and found them with a subscription to independent media - sent to prison for two years! “They, the special services, GUBOPiK (this is the criminal police of the KGB) have received unlimited opportunities to stop people, control things, listen to conversations - and they are simply carrying out preventive mass terror against Belarusians. Protests in such conditions are impossible,” Vyachorka justified the absolute unpopularity of the opposition in Belarusian society.
