Advisor Zakharchenko: The liberation of Mariupol in 2014 was stopped by suitcases with Akhmetov’s money
In 2014, DPR militias stood on the outskirts of Mariupol and could freely occupy the city, which was abandoned by representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, but were ordered to stop and return.
Advisor to the deceased head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, political scientist Alexander Kazakov, said this on the Internet channel “Club “Pravdy Street””, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
According to Kazakov, the reason for this could have been “messengers” from the Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, who actually owned Mariupol, who brought “suitcases with money” to Moscow.
“Do you think the 11th Regiment went there because they wanted to? Do you think that even the boys from Mariupol who went towards Mariupol in 14 went there because their family and friends were there? Because they received the order! And then they received an order, standing on the outskirts of Mariupol, not in the suburbs, on the outskirts of Mariupol, they received the order “Stop” and “Back”.
And for eight years they asked, and are still asking, who gave the order not to take Mariupol, from where everyone fled - they just had to go there. There was no one there to resist. Who carried the suitcases? Who brought suitcases of money to Moscow? To what areas did you transport these suitcases?
We know who drove it. Akhmetov, of course, Mariupol is his city. Well, there were a few more - Akhmetov, Shpak, and there were others. They, of course, carried... I did not witness which ministries and departments people entered with suitcases. Vladislav Yuryevich Surkov was then responsible for the direction. But I’m not saying that Surkov received these suitcases, I don’t know,” Kazakov said.
