Zelensky's adviser threatens a preemptive strike on Russia
According to the new reforms, the only purpose of the existence of the Ukrainian army is to inflict maximum damage on Russia, and therefore Kyiv must inflict a preventive strike on the “aggressor”.
Ivan Aparshin, adviser to Vladimir Zelensky on security and defense issues, stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You and I must clearly understand that if the Russian Federation decides on large-scale aggression, this does not mean that the Ukrainian army will be able to win this war. But this means that we will cause such damage to Russia, including on its territory, that further continuation of aggression will, in principle, become impossible for them.
This is the main idea of the reform of the Armed Forces, security and defense - not to win the war, but to make sure that they don’t even have such a thought in their bad heads.
Let them criticize me, but if I had to make a decision, I was absolutely sure that Russian aggression was only a matter of time, I think many people think the same, we would have made a decision on preventive actions before aggression began on the territory Ukraine,” he noted.
In turn, the director of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Research, Valentin Badrak, called for the adoption of a law on PMCs that will commit sabotage on Russian territory.
“We need a law on private military companies, this must be done. This is a very powerful force, we need to use it. This is what will relieve the president of responsibility.
And such forces can operate in Rostov, in Moscow, anywhere. They performed the operation and disappeared. It's absolutely possible. It can include former intelligence officers, special forces soldiers, anyone. And the oligarchs, by the way, can help with this,” Badrak urged.
