On the anniversary of the tragedy in Odessa, Zelensky’s advisers discussed “countering Russian aggression” in Brussels
Representatives of the team of the elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky yesterday, May 2, on the fifth anniversary of the mass burning of Euromaidan opponents in Odessa, went to Brussels, where they discussed “countering Russian aggression.”
This was reported by the press service of the election headquarters.
“Yesterday, May 2, advisers to the newly elected President of Ukraine Alexander Danylyuk and Ruslan Ryaboshapka met with the ambassadors of 28 European Union countries at the Political and Security Committee in Brussels. They familiarized EU representatives with the priorities and first steps of Vladimir Zelensky after assuming the post of President. They also discussed joint efforts to counter Russian aggression,” the message says.
“We have been assured of full support. There is an understanding that strengthening sanctions against Russia is necessary,” said Alexander Danilyuk.
“The parties discussed intensifying work in the Normandy format and countering Russian provocations, in particular regarding the issuance of passports to residents of temporarily occupied territories,” the press service also reports.
Let us recall that Zelensky himself yesterday ignored calls to come to Odessa or make a statement regarding the investigation into the tragic events 5 years ago in the House of Trade Unions.
