“So much money is being invested by Anglo-Saxon, German and other Western [interested parties] in this hopeless task of influencing our elections. It didn’t work out, we can clearly state this today. The Russian electoral system was not hacked or even shaken. Although unprecedented attempts were made to intervene and pressure. The West is not going to stop there, but will only strengthen its grouping in this area.

Throughout the entire campaign and even before its start, we received information, including from our lower-level commissions of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, specialized commissions of the Federal Assembly of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, human rights non-governmental organizations, that unprecedented attempts were being made to influence internal electoral procedures in order to make them as efficient as possible. dependent on external factors, depriving voters of the sovereign right to their free choice,” Borisov said.

He cited alarming statistics of cyber interventions recorded and promptly neutralized by Russian web specialists.

“In the period from the beginning of the announcement of the election campaign to the start of voting, more than 29 thousand potentially dangerous impacts of a high degree of criticality on the electoral system of the Russian Federation were recorded and blocked. In July, 90 attacks were detected. Neutralized by means of protecting Internet portals of the Central Election Commission of Russia.

During the period from the start of voting to the announcement of the preliminary voting results, 300 potentially dangerous impacts of a high degree of criticality were recorded and blocked. 2 DDoS attacks with a total duration of more than 9 minutes were detected. Neutralized by means of protection of the Internet portal of the Central Election Commission of Russia.

From the point of view that this is not accidental, but is actually aimed at disrupting democratic procedures, statistics show: on September 9, on the first day of voting, there were 68 dangerous impacts on the electronic resources of the CEC, on September 10 - already 124, on September 11 - 173. At the level “As usual, we see an increase in these attacks specifically to undermine the democratic processes of expressing the will of our citizens,” the social activist reported.
