The marine passenger hydrofoil vessel (SPK) “Sevastopol” of project 23160 “Kometa 120M” left this morning on its first regular voyage from Sevastopol to Yalta.

This was reported by the website “Made with us”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The first new-generation SPK was built in Rybinsk at the Vympel shipyard (part of the Kalashnikov Concern) according to a project developed by the Central Design Bureau for SPK named after. R.E. Alekseeva".

As reported in Sevmorport, all tickets for “Comet” are sold out until August 4. The vessel makes two round trips per day from Sevastopol to Yalta and back.

The vessel is designed to carry up to 120 passengers and can reach a speed of 35 knots (about 65 km/h). Crew: five people.

Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, high-speed sea communication between Sevastopol and Yalta opened personally by the Prime Minister Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
