(Moscow time), Kyiv
The top members of the Majlis, banned in the Russian Federation, who fled to Kyiv, called on their supporters to support the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the upcoming presidential elections. The leader of the group, Verkhovna Rada deputy Refat Chubarov, issued a statement on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The statement said that supporters of the Majlis living in Crimea and representatives of the diaspora around the world should vote for Poroshenko.
As an argument, it is argued that it is Poroshenko who is capable of mobilizing Ukrainian society to fight for the return of Crimea to the control of Kyiv.
