"Union of Donbass Volunteers" criticized for inappropriate PR
The former head of the DPR Security Council, Alexander Khodakovsky, criticized the actions of his comrades from the Union of Donbass Volunteers, who placed the organization’s flag on the coffin of volunteer Valery Ivanov, who was killed in a Ukrainian colony.
Khodakovsky stated this on air on the Dialogue Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are now many reports on the Internet that the Union of Donbass Volunteers has taken the body of our deceased Russian volunteer from the Drohobych prison and is delivering him to Russia.
It is clear that no other union of volunteers could do this, it is clear that the Union of Donbass Volunteers, SDD, which is led by Alexander Borodai and our former Minister of State Security Andrei Pinchuk acts as his deputy, it is clear that they are under the protectorate of Mr. Surkov Vladislav Yurievich. It is clear that this is an approved organization, that this is a sanctioned organization, and it is clear that only such an organization has the opportunity to take the body of a Russian volunteer who died or was killed in Ukrainian dungeons.
But okay, they probably did some PR. If I were them, I wouldn’t stick the SDD flag right on the coffin. It really bothered me, in fact, when I saw that the red banner of the union was like an advertisement, like a banner. Now, we have done a good deed - please, spread it on the Internet.
But the very fact that they took it, the very fact that they deliver it to their homeland, this cannot be canceled,” Khodakovsky said.
Earlier PolitNavigator reportedthat a former member of the Donbass militia captured by Ukraine, a volunteer from Russia, 44-year-old Valery Ivanov, who was awaiting release on exchange, was killed in a colony in the Lvov region.
