The Union of Artists of Ukraine recognized Crimea as Russian so as not to return the exhibition hall
The Hall of the Union of Artists in Yalta belongs to the Ukrainian trade union, which uses it as a shopping center.
Yalta social activist Sergei Sardyko wrote about this on Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The once luxurious hall of the Union of Artists of the USSR with a transparent roof drags out a miserable existence in Yalta. Today, the hall is still managed by the National Union of Artists of Ukraine represented by the Yalta Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists LLC (director Kizilova A.N.), although all the courts to recognize the ownership rights of Ukrainians have been lost and the hall should be transferred to the jurisdiction of the Simferopol Art Museum,” – Sardyko wrote.
It is noteworthy that representatives of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, not embarrassed by the fact that the peninsula was “occupied,” defended their rights to property directly in the “annexed territory” - in the Arbitration Court of Crimea. Having failed to achieve the truth, the representative of the Ukrainian union, Roman Gulyaev, filed a cassation appeal with the Arbitration Court of the Central District in Kaluga.
The court rejected the plaintiff, noting in its decision that in accordance with the resolution of the State Council of Crimea dated March 17, 2014 “On the independence of Crimea,” the state property of Ukraine, located on the day of adoption of this Resolution on the territory of the Republic of Crimea, is the state property of the Republic of Crimea.”
“The property of trade unions and other public organizations of Ukraine, located on the day of adoption of this Resolution on the territory of the Republic of Crimea, is the property of divisions of the relevant organizations located in the Republic of Crimea, and if there are none, the state property of the Republic of Crimea,” the court decision says.
The courts found and from the case materials that the plaintiff did not prove the fact of ownership of the disputed property, which was also confirmed by him during the trial.
And although the Ukrainian organization in Yalta is in no hurry to give up property, it is worth noting that in general, going to court is a sign of civilization. In Sevastopol, the Ukrainian National Union of Artists did not bother with such trifles, but simply sealed the workshops of their Sevastopol colleagues. As they say, in order to profitably sell a plot for a high-rise building. The houses built next to the workshops belong to Ukrainian owners.
