“Union of Left Forces” proposes large-scale nationalization in Ukraine
Kyiv, March 21 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Ukrainian leftists declare the need for large-scale nationalization of the most important sectors of the country’s economy.
The leader of the Ukrainian party “Union of Left Forces” Vasily Volga, according to whom Ukraine needs the socialization of public life, voiced his position on this issue at a press conference in Kiev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“This is achieving a fair method of distribution through changes in attitudes towards property,” the politician explained. – We are talking about the need to nationalize budget-forming industries and credit. The subject of our study is the experience of Great Britain from 1946 to 1951, when the Bank of England, civil aviation (the four largest companies), coal mining, cable production, railway transport, electric power, gas industry and ferrous metallurgy were nationalized.”
It was also said that for the “Union of Left Forces” the experience of France in 1982 is most interesting at this time.
“Then 36 large banks were nationalized in one fell swoop,” recalls Vasily Volga. Among them are the Rothschild Bank and the Paris-Dutch Bank, the Suez Canal Company, the General Electric Company, aircraft factories and many others.”
