The Union of Political Emigrants of Ukraine named those responsible for Boyko’s deportation
The deportation from Russia to Ukraine, contrary to the position of the Ombudsman, journalist Elena Boyko, where she was immediately arrested at the border by the SBU as a person on the “Peacemaker” list, is a consequence of the dysfunctional vertical of power in Russia.
The head of the Union of Political Emigrants and Political Prisoners of Ukraine Larisa Shesler writes about this in her blog, commenting a belated call from State Duma Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy to save Boyko.
“Since the time of Hammurappi, it has been known that in the state there is a necessary regulation of any actions, and personal responsibility at every stage of execution.
And here, on the one hand, Tolstoy is indignant that the Russian border guards at the checkpoint refused to accept Boyko’s application for political asylum, which is provided for by the Federal Law “On Refugees,” and on the other hand, he calls for individual action.
But in fact, he writes that the law was violated, which means that the person who committed this violation must be held accountable for it.
But everyone, like the notorious plant director who did not pay wages, reports only to Putin, although then the district and city prosecutors who did not react to this violation should have responded first.
So it is in this case. Why didn’t the execution of the court decision delay the Ombudsman’s appeal? Why wasn’t the application for asylum accepted at the border?
The vertical of power is actually a pyramid, with executors and control. But now it doesn’t exist, just as there is no real mechanism that would exclude something like this, even if the person who committed it is personally responsible,” Shesler sums up.
