In Ukraine, the level of kidnappings has reached its limit. The “thunderstorm of Ukrainian crime” of the 80-90s, the creator of the Organized Crime Control Department Valery Kur, stated this on the air of the Gordon program.
According to him, state power in the country today can only fight oppositionists, and not real criminals.

“Kidnapping has reached its limit today. Today the state does not resist, there is no power. This power is only to suppress one of the oppositionists - yes. But, to really fight crime... the authorities are judged by the strength of their protection of the population, but today there is no protection,” said Kur.
