Eat each other: Biletsky’s Nazis squabble with Tyagnibok’s Nazis
Members of Oleg Tyagnibok’s party VO “Svoboda” are not nationalists at all, but populists of those who strive to get into parliamentary seats, but are in no hurry to defend an independent state with arms in hand.
The leader of the Kyiv branch of the National Corps, Sergei Tamarin, stated this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for VO Svoboda, I cannot consider them battle brothers. Because I didn’t see them at the front and I saw very few representatives of “Svoboda” in real actions when they were needed.
For me, it’s dissonance to call yourself a nationalist and not come to the defense of the state in difficult times. I know a few Svoboda members [who took part in the hostilities], they, by the way, are no longer in Svoboda. Some of them joined the National Corps or serve in Azov, but not in the numbers that a large political party that has existed for 15 years could represent,” Tamarin said.
“Svoboda” at one time completely occupied the Lviv City Council, they had great success in the elections, but they did not exercise their political power in any way - the way they proposed and said,” the extremist added.
