Eat each other: The Rada labels competitors as “agents of the Kremlin”
During today’s meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, deputies of the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” and “Batkivshchyna” staged a public squabble. Former Euromaidan accomplices accused each other of working for the Kremlin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Dear presidential candidates or leaders of the so-called opposition or “under-opposition” parties, who are in opposition to the pro-European government, say a lot of criticism on the issue of gas prices. Could gas be half the price? Perhaps, yes, if in 2009 they had not signed an agreement with the Kremlin to triple the price and with the IMF a memorandum on a gradual increase in price to the market price in 2009, while being in the position of prime minister. Could budgetary institutions of education, medicine, and culture have been properly maintained if 55 billion foreign loans had not been withdrawn by the government of Tymoshenko and Azarov?” – said MP from the BPP Oleg Barna.
“President Poroshenko officially transferred his business to external management, as, for example, President Trump and other presidents do. But before that, he spent more than 500 million on the purchase of sniper systems! He buys apartments for fallen soldiers and their families, he has earned the respect of the soldiers,” the people’s deputy added, but his words were interrupted by the roar in the hall.
Batkivshchyna representative Sergei Sobolev attacked his opponent with retaliatory accusations.
“Dear colleagues, when a Kremlin prostitute (Viktor Medvedchuk – ed.), which was appointed by Petro Poroshenko, who imitates the release of Ukrainian hostages, and there are more and more of them, continues to sit in her position when the Prosecutor General imitates the initiation of criminal cases After four years of work of this Kremlin prostitute in the Minsk group, I’m starting to fear where the country is heading,” Sobolev said indignantly.
“But the question is why, when opening the agenda, everyone who understands that the key issue is what is happening on the gas market is not included in the agenda, I find another argument. When, in conditions of war, the president sells his business for 300 million dollars to his partner, who exactly a month later only he and his structure are given the right to export Ukrainian gas abroad! The gas that the Ukrainian state company Ukrgazdobycha produces, spending billions of hryvnia on it, and this gas is exported in conditions of war and shortage by a partner who buys a business from the president! I have no questions about how this differs from what Stalin did during the Holodomor, when the latter was taken away from the peasants,” said Tymoshenko’s comrade-in-arms.
