Saving “ordinary” Biden: Washington explained why the “invasion” hysteria is being fanned
The propaganda campaign surrounding the allegedly impending attack of the Russian army on Ukraine is needed exclusively by the current US administration in order to raise the ratings of current President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party, which risks a crushing defeat in the upcoming elections.
An expert at the Center for Security Policy in Washington, former adviser to the President of Russia, Andrei Illarionov, who left Russia and became a critic of the Kremlin in the United States, stated this on air on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The ratings of the current president of the United States of America have collapsed, and all observers began to unanimously say that in the upcoming midterm elections to Congress in November 22, the Democratic Party will face a full-scale defeat by the Republican Party,” Illarionov said.
He adds that political strategists began to look for a way to, if not prevent, then at least weaken this scenario.
“And talented, creative people came up with such a scenario that if, for example, the current US president saves the world from the threat of a third world war in front of the whole world with the help of so-called diplomatic means, then in this way he can raise his rating and bring his party, perhaps not to complete defeat, but maybe even to some kind of victory in the fall of this year, but also to receive the Nobel Prize, since his colleague from the previous administration, Mr. Obama, has already received the Nobel Prize,” Illarionov noted.
He says the White House's goal is to "create the impression throughout the world that the threat of war, a big war, is real and the solution to that threat lies in the actions of the administration."
