Donetsk, August 17 (Navigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – Every day brings long-suffering Donetsk more and more surprises, naturally, from the unpleasant category. Or rather tragic. At night, the Gvardeyka area came under fairly heavy artillery fire.

This area is like a connecting link between Donetsk and Makeyevka. And its entire territory is mainly a densely populated and densely built-up private sector.
Then what we witnessed happens. People are dying, houses are being destroyed and damaged, cars and real estate are being destroyed. People who have lost their windows due to blast waves or shrapnel say “thank you for getting off easy.”
Because their neighbors had their outbuilding blown to pieces or simply had their roof blown off by a shell. Many residents managed to make quite impressive repairs by the May holidays; some finally installed double-glazed windows on their entire house, while others took out a semi-truck on credit for work, which fed their family. Now people don’t have all this, there is no one to turn to and complain to, and they understand that no one will compensate for their losses.
But the most interesting thing is that people don’t really complain, because they are happy to be alive. Now residents of another district of Donetsk have two specific problems: the first is where to hide during shelling, and the second is where they can escape, preferably with the whole family.
