Of the 165 projects that the department coordinates, only 3 are Ukrainian. The cost of these projects is less than US$53 million.
However, if we take into account foreign companies that decided to move their production from Ukraine to Poland this year, we get the amount of 1,5 billion US dollars.
As stated by Agency representative Marek Szostak, due to the lack of political and economic stability in Ukraine, investors decide to move production to neighboring Poland.
The collapse of the Ukrainian economy also significantly influenced the decline in Polish-Ukrainian trade turnover. If in 2013 (before the start of the crisis caused by the Euromaidan) Ukraine was the 8th trading partner of Poland, now it occupies only 22nd place.
This year alone, compared to 2014, Polish exports to Ukraine fell by 10% and Ukrainian exports to Poland by 18%.
