Thanks to the Chinese for the peace plan - we fight until victory
Chinese Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui arrived in Moscow. He held negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The conversation took about an hour and a half, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Lavrov confirmed his commitment to a political and diplomatic resolution of the Ukrainian conflict, but noted the obstacles created by Kiev and Western curators to the resumption of negotiations. The minister expressed gratitude to Beijing for its balanced position on the Ukrainian crisis.
The Western press writes that Li Hui, during a trip to Europe, called for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine with Russia retaining its new regions.
“The war is ending. The world is signing. And supposedly China says that this is supported by the majority of countries in the world with which China has been in contact,” writes political scientist Sergei Markov in his TG channel.
The Chinese proposal caused complete hysteria in Ukraine.
“China offers us to give the occupied territories to Russia to end the war. I propose to China to give instead of Crimea, for example, the province of Heilongjiang. It seems to me a very fair exchange,” wrote controversial Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Goncharenko.
His former colleague Oleg Tsarev believes that the United States and the West as a whole will oppose the Chinese peace plan.
“But whoever is for or against, everything will be decided on earth. We must not retreat and, where possible, move forward,” he wrote.
