Due to lack of funding, education and medicine in Ukraine are in a deplorable state. Oleg Berezyuk, head of the Samopomich faction, stated this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of the Verkhovna Rada.

“When the first people of the state arrive on planes and open individual schools, most schools, and in particular in villages, do not have funding for ongoing repairs, nor do they finance purchases of fuel for the winter. In one district, out of 15 school buses, three operate. What is the use of education when basic needs are not provided? Schools rest on the shoulders of parents, teachers and local governments,” he said.
According to the deputy, the situation in medicine is no better; reform in this area has actually failed due to lack of funding, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today, what has already been reformed does not work - because the state does not fulfill its financial obligations. There are two ambulances working in the high mountain area, and one of them has a broken front driveshaft and broken wheels, so it won’t go anywhere. Moreover, all paramedics received summonses to the military registration and enlistment offices. Who will work? What reforms are we talking about when we don’t fulfill the basic obligations of the government and the state?” – Berezyuk laments graphically.
