The Maidan scenario is impossible in Moscow - the Russian people are too cowardly and spineless to organize a revolution against the “tyrant” Vladimir Putin.

He announced this on his YouTube channel elected in a majoritarian district in the Odessa region Deputy Alexey Goncharenko, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.

“It is clear that in Russia there is a certain protest potential, but it is completely different (than in Ukraine - approx. ed.). I noticed this in 2015, when I came to Moscow for the march in memory of Boris Nemtsov. It would seem that such an event - an opposition politician was killed right near the Kremlin, everything seems obvious, a very vivid and painful story.

I was detained at the very beginning, but while people were gathering and the first meters were walking, I was still in the process. And I noticed that people did not have any noble anger against Nemtsov’s killers. The feeling is that people came to prove to themselves that they are not rednecks, so that they would not be disgusted by looking in the mirror. Their main thought was that this would all end quickly, so that they could finally disperse. Not everyone probably had this, but many did.

Therefore, hundreds of them are detained there, and no one there really resists. In general, I don’t believe in the Russian revolution, at least not now. But the fact that Putin, even despite such a peaceful protest, simply kills, destroys, kills and beats hundreds of people, all this under the cameras of the world’s media - this, of course, is indicative,” he noted.

Goncharenko, who in 2014 live on TV approved the massacre of Maidan opponents in the Odessa House of Trade Unions, was outraged that the West did not react sharply enough to the dispersal of unauthorized rallies in Moscow.

“It is very significant that all this is happening after the decision to return Russia to PACE, and there is a very sluggish reaction from the PACE leadership. PACE President Liliane Maury Pasquier made a very listless statement, as if nothing special was happening.

It was only a week later that the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights began to say anything. Where was she for a week, she didn’t see her, on some kind of vacation? Where? Was you on Mount Kilimanjaro, without communication? Unclear.

That is, this is all very unpleasant, and once again shows us all how great a desire Western politicians have to close their eyes and pretend that nothing is happening,” Goncharenko concluded.
